Hernando County’s 4th Annual Cardboard Boat Race and Seafood Festival is being held October 8, 2016 at the Hernando Beach Marina and Hernando Beach Yacht Club.
The race will begin at 12:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. This crazy, fun event will feature love entertainment, vendors, and delicious grub all day long!
You won’t want to miss the excitement as the innovative cardboard crafts (attempt to) cross the finish line. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given for individuals, businesses, mechanical entries, unique design, as well as the Titanic Award (most dramatic sinking must make best effort not to sink).
The Marina is located at 4139 Shoal Line Blvd Hernando Beach, FL 34607.
All proceeds of the race go to boating education and practical marine environmental issues (clean ups in the area waters).
